Over 100 Ministries from Metro New York Area will Convene at Leadership Symposium to strategize millennium outreach and celebrate Operation Blessing’s 20^th Anniversary

New York, NY – Over 100 ministries from around the region will convene in Lower Manhattan on Thursday, April 29, 1999 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event: Loaves & Fishes 2000. The host: New York Christian Resource Center, the Metro New York outreach agency for CBN’s Operation Blessing International Relief and Development Corporation.

According to director, Rev. James Esposito, this annual conference promises to be the best one yet. "As the Body of Christ in the NY area approaches a new millennium, there are some remarkable opportunities for evangelization. We are going to see a 21^st Century Loaves & Fishes miracle!"

Loaves & Fishes is an annual Leadership Symposium sponsored by NYCRC that brings together different resource ministries to empower local churches and para-church agencies to impact their communities. Esposito relates: "What little we do have, just like a young boy’s lunch, when offered to and blessed by God, is multiplied to feed everyone!" In fact, NYCRC promises that attendees will be "overloaded with a multitude of blessings" at the one day conference. There will be representatives from several area ministries that network with churches and special guests from out of state presenting various relevant topics. These include: Y2K strategies for the Church, Funding and Product Grants (available now!), Life Skills Training programs (part of a national initiative), "Bless-A-Child" outreach programs, employee benefits and much more! A highlight will be a luncheon reception at an area restaurant celebrating CBN Operation Blessing’s 20^th Anniversary in New York City.

"So many times," Esposito continues, "ministries are unaware of what is available in the city to help them impact their communities." That is why all area Christian leadership (clergy and laity) are encouraged to attend or send representation. With advance clearance, ministries may also bring their own literature for networking among the leaders present.

The event will be held at NYCRC headquarters in Lower Manhattan. Advance reservations are required: $15 for one guest, $25 for two guests from the same ministry (Limit two guests per ministry). As a bonus incentive, the first 25 ministries that register will receive John Maxwell’s audio book (2 tapes), "The 21 Laws of Irrefutable Leadership."
